2004

2004 was a busy year for us. Ripley started hospital visiting at the beginning of the year
and loved every second of it! He is now ‘working’ at the Finchley Memorial Hospital which deals

with  stroke rehabilitation and long term physiotherapy and one care home. He also passed his
Gold Good Citizen Test in July when he was just 13 months old. Also once he had turned a year
old he started to learn agility alongside Darcy!

Darcy has had a very busy year as well. He has participated in quite a few agility demos

and has been part of The Hatfield Dog Training Club Team. We appeared at the CLA Game Fair
which was held at Blenheim Palace

and most successfully at The Wag and Bone Show  held at Windsor race course  in August. We were
honoured to take part in the Ian Dunbar K9 games. It was great fun and quite hard work. Happily the
team won and Darcy was awarded the Best Overall Dog of the Day. He won the Kong Challenge,
Joe Pup Relay, got to all of the final heats of 3 other games, was in the winning team of the Woof Relay
Challenge as well as being in 2 musical routines!

I also started assisting teaching at Hatfield Dog Club once a week as well as looking after and working
my dogs. Darcy was part of the Gold Citizen Scheme again at Discover Dogs in November.

Ripley tried his paw badly at Heelwork to Music, but was more successful at visiting patients
in the hospital and care home.
