2008

2008 has been a busy year with one thing and another.

Tip Top Dog School has got busier and busier with the introduction of outdoor classes as well as the established indoor classes.

‘Tip Top’ helped the local police in August with a day for  the Safer Neighbourhood Scheme. Darcy did several demos of retrieving and we gave free dog-training classes for local dogs.

Sadly we lost Henri in July and was hoping to find another rescue dog or puppy but nothing   seemed to be for ‘us’. Now matter who we got in touch with, rescue societies or breeders, there was nothing.

Then one day a phone call came from Pat Taylor from the Berkshire Downs Golden Retriever Rescue Society  with news of a little female dog in need of a new home. Within 3 days of getting the initial call we suddenly had gone back to being a 3 dog family again. Honey had arrived!

And what a little blessing she turned out to be! A very petite and aptly named little girl – captivating not just us, but Darcy and Ripley and everyone who met her.

Ripley continues to do his ‘visiting’ and Honey seems to have a liking for the work as well!

The house has been full of the usual holidaying dogs plus this year has seen the daily arrival of Toby the golden retriever.
